I arrived on Friday, & got settled in. As night fell, I made my way to the ICE facility on 4310 S Macadam Ave. Along the way, I saw a smattering of political messaging. Anti-cop, anti-Trump, anti-ICE, & even anti-tech sentiments were on open display in the city streets.

10/17 - Portland ICE facility

Upon arrival at the ICE facility, one of the first things I documented was a dance party with protesters in inflatable costumes. Garfield, the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, & other notable characters danced along to Green Day, The Beach Boys, Mark Governor, & more.

Now & then, federal agents would walk out of the facility to help government vehicles exit or enter the area. Agents armed with pepper-ball guns stood watch on the building’s roof. Protesters taunted the federal agents often.

Protesters lined up at the blue line separating the sidewalk from the ICE facility, with some taking a knee in front of it. Any protester that crossed that line would be shot with pepper-balls &/or apprehended by federal agents. Near the line, I found political messages & a box of books nearby—all copies of One Little Pig by Laura Lee Scott, illustrated by Cheryl Crouthamel.

A protester with a megaphone accused conservative podcast host Matt Tardio of assaulting a woman near the ICE facility. She played an audio recording about that on her megaphone. I haven’t been able to substantiate her accusation.

Across the street from the ICE facility, I found more political messages. Anti-Trump, anti-GOP, & anti-DHS stuff, as expected.

Later on, a crowd began forming around the corner, just outside the Antifa encampment. A protester known as Richard was threatening physical violence against independent journalist & conservative influencer Nick Sortor. Portland Police were standing a mere inches away from Richard.

As this was happening, Antifa & pro-Trump gonzo journalists like DannyRebel33 & Chris Sims were arguing nearby. A mixture of taunts & debates could be heard.

There was a notice board in the Antifa encampment with a bevy of information. Moreover, there was an illegal campsite notice next to the Antifa encampment, issued on 10/16 by the city.

That NLG jail line has been active since 2020.

Across the street, another crowd was forming. 3 men in matching khakis & skull masks were arguing with protesters. According to documentarian Ford Fischer, these men were there to support ICE, & didn’t claim to be part of any specific group.

Pro-Trump influencer & livestreamer Tommyboi4209 made his way into the middle of the crowd. Tommy & the protesters taunted one another, with Tommy being accused of being a Nazi for his pro-ICE beliefs.

A few feet away, a protester in a hoodie berated & chastised the Portland Police. A protester with a megaphone continued to taunt & chastise Tommy for his beliefs. Portland Police were standing nearby in wait, just in case things escalated.

On this side of the street, I noticed a window sign by Reach Community Development, a Portland non-profit that “creates opportunities for all people to thrive by developing and promoting access to quality, affordable homes, supportive services, and community.” The non-profit “envisions a world where there is a universal right to housing with all people living in safe, vibrant, and healthy communities.” REACH may have been mistakenly targeted by protesters & Antifa.

I crossed the street & conducted a walk-through of the Antifa encampment, located halfway down the block from the ICE facility, as music blared. Food, anti-ICE signs, tents, & more lined the public sidewalk. As I walked, I could hear protesters chiding MAGA influencer Rhein Amacher. One protester accused him of battery.

After I turned around & walked back, Rhein tried to conduct a walk-through of his own. He was blocked from walking on the sidewalk by multiple Antifa members. The confrontation quickly became violent.

As I tried to get footage of the event, Antifa with umbrellas blocked my shot, & the music was turned back on. It didn’t take long before the crowd grew & more Antifa moved in to mock Rhein. He was once again accused of committing assault.

Portland Police stepped in & Rhein walked across the street with them. He wanted to press charges against someone in a wheelchair. Portland PD took photos of Rhein’s leg injuries. At least one protester mocked him as they walked by.

Back near the Antifa encampment, DannyRebel33 was arguing with protesters. One was using a megaphone & another was holding a “Fuck ICE” flag. It didn’t take long before they resorted to mocking one another.

10/18 - “No Kings”

Saturday, the day of the “No Kings” protests across the nation. There were at least 3 planned in Portland. I attended what I assume was the largest one: Waterfront Park. On the way over, I noticed “ACAB” written on a “No Trespassing” sign.

I first made contact with the march on the intersection of SW Madison St & SW 1st Ave. It was heading toward Hawthorne Bridge. The crowd was packed with protesters holding signs to promote many different messages, not just anti-monarchism sentiments.

We’re talking anti-Trump, anti-ICE, anti-GOP, anti-fascism, pro-socialism, pro-Epstein Files, & more. Many protesters were wearing funny costumes. At least one boat on the Willamette River was pro-No Kings.

The march passed below Interstate 5 & continued down SE Hawthorne Blvd. A multi-kazoo rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In” was being played in front of me. I decided to travel down SE Madison St instead for more breathing room.

I reconvened with the march on SE Grand & Hawthorne. The protesters headed down SE Grand Ave & turned left onto SE Morrison Brg before crossing the Morrison Bridge.

Eventually, the march ended up back at Waterfront Park & finished with a rally.

10/18 - Portland ICE facility

After recharging for a few hours, I returned to the ICE facility. By nightfall, it was pouring rain. Anti-MAGA & pro-MAGA people alike sought shelter from the pouring rain. If it hadn’t been raining that night, I imagine that there would have been a lot more people there.

Despite the rain, a sizeable crowd had formed in front of the ICE facility. At times, federal agents would step out in front of the building. Anti-MAGA & pro-MAGA protesters debated & taunted one another directly outside the ICE facility, as federal agents were posted up on the roof with pepper-ball guns.

Across the street from the Antifa encampment, an anti-MAGA protester with face tattoos nicknamed “Criptifa” insulted, threatened, & debated with Tommy4Trump420. DannyRebel33, & others joined in as Portland Police watched from across the street.

The highlight of the night (for me, at least) was the moment when federal agents chased after protesters. One moment, the feds were just standing there out in the middle of the street. The next, some weird fart-esque sound goes off, & federal agents rush past me. It kind of sounded like the “BRRRT” of a mini-version of the GAU-8 Avenger cannon from an A-10 Thunderbolt II “Warthog”.

The federal agents deployed flash bangs (I think) & fired their pepper-ball guns. I think they were trying to arrest someone, perhaps several people. Protesters were freaking the fuck out.

I ran down S Bancroft St & turned the corner onto S Bond Ave. Soon thereafter, federal agents & protesters followed behind. One protester mocked a federal agent for being fat & slow. That agent confronted him before turning around to continue walking down the street.

I crossed the street & was stopped by a protester that wanted to know what happened. Further down the street, I spotted a group of federal agents walking back toward the ICE facility.

As the feds walked back to the ICE facility, protesters followed behind to taunt them. An agent deployed tear gas grenades down the street next to the Antifa encampment, much to the protesters’ chagrin. Tear gas filled the air.

By the time I got back to the ICE facility, the federal agents were backing up into the building. Antifa walked up to the facility line to mock them.

Not long thereafter, federal agents re-emerged from the facility to make way for government vehicles.

Federal agents stayed outside to let a CBP vehicle enter the building as Antifa taunted them. “Don’t be a speed bump. You heard me. Don’t be a speed bump,” said a DHS officer. As federal agents walked back, Antifa taunted them.

Some of the last things I documented before heading out were protest signs left on the ground. Moreover, a protester blasted El Azhar’s “El Djihad” The song is “an ode to jihad and armed Islamic struggle”, according to Colombia One.

I had my fill for the night & left. In the morning, I had a mediocre continental breakfeast before checking out of my room & heading back home.

The minutes of the Federal Open Markets Committee’s (FOMC) latest meeting have been recently released. During the FOMC Sep. 16-17 meeting to set interest rate policy, members voiced concerns over a weak housing & labor market.

Most Fed officials felt that the risk of higher unemployment had worsened since their July meeting. Most Fed officials also supported more rate cuts.

Participants generally noted that their judgments about this meeting’s appropriate policy action reflected a shift in the balance of risks. In particular, most participants observed that it was appropriate to move the target range for the federal funds rate toward a more neutral setting because they judged that downside risks to employment had increased over the intermeeting period and that upside risks to inflation had either diminished or not increased.

The FOMC voted 11-1 for a quarter-point rate cut. Same-day appointed Gov. Stephen Miran called for a half-point cut, instead.

Voting against this action: Stephen I. Miran.

Governor Miran preferred to lower the target range for the federal funds rate by ½ percentage point at this meeting in light of further softening in the labor market over the first half of the year and underlying inflation that in his view was meaningfully closer to 2 percent than was apparent in the data.

The federal funds rate was brought down to a target range of 4%-4.25%. President Trump has long pressured the Fed to drop rates. Rate cuts can also lower borrowing costs for auto & business loans, stimulating spending & hiring, per the Fed. Mortgage rates & the federal funds rate are closely connected, per Realtor.com.

A Realtor.com March analysis concluded that “the U.S. housing shortage will take more than seven years to fix at the current rate of construction.” According to a July survey conducted by Tavern Research for the Searchlight Institute, Americans have a pessimistic view of the housing market.

A National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) study concluded that regulations account for “nearly 25% of the cost of a single-family home and more than 40% of the cost of a typical apartment development.” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent recently announced that the Trump administration is considering declaring a national housing emergency.

The federal government shutdown has restricted the release of economic data that the Fed relies on. However, ADP’s latest jobs report revealed weak numbers.

Based on these various reports, the American economy leaves a lot to be desired. The government is aware & the ball is in its court.

On Sunday, Axios dropped a bombshell report based on a leaked DOJ-FBI memo on the final status of the Epstein Files. The Trump administration and the DOJ have concluded that Epstein didn’t have a client list. The investigation will end.

Last February, AG Pam Bondi told Fox News that the Epstein files were on her desk. She was reviewing the files and other documents at the president’s directive.

Bondi then told Jesse Watters on his Fox News show that her office would be releasing information about Epstein. “Over 250” victims. She wanted to protect their personal information.

In late February, her DOJ dropped the “Phase 1” files. Over 200 pages. Flight logs. Names. Information.

To say that it wasn’t good would be an understatement. Phase 1 was a flop. A massive misstep. A bunch of conservative influencers gallivanted about the White House while holding binders filled with (re)redacted old info that was leaked to the public years ago.

After the AG’s office learned of the backlash, Bondi sprang into action. She did damage control, accusing the FBI of withholding thousands of documents. Further, she demanded they deliver all the Epstein files by the next morning and ordered a probe.

Bondi claimed the FBI misled her on Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News. Thousands of pages were under review. James Dennehy, the New York FBI official who withheld the documents, was forced to resign.

She praised FBI Director Kash Patel, despite the FBI’s fumble. Bondi said she received a “truckload” of unreleased documents. No release timeline was provided.

In late April, Bondi was caught on hidden camera saying the FBI was reviewing “tens of thousands” of Epstein videos with “little kids.” The video was provided to OMG by an anonymous source in DC, a self-described nanny, as per James O’Keefe. Then, in early May, Bondi publicly stated what she told the secret camerawoman.

Fast forward to today, Fox News’s Peter Doocy challenged White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on the Epstein Files. He brought up the fact that Bondi had talked about the Epstein client list being on her desk. Leavitt stated that Bondi was talking about all of the paperwork in relation to Epstein's crimes.

MAGA is shocked & pissed right now. The right-wing coalition is crumbling. The foreign war stuff, tariffs, ICE raids, the BBB, & more have become off-putting to the MAGA masses and beyond. Pressure was put on this populace to accept solutions incompatible with their values and self-interest.

Epstein is sending people over the edge. Eventually, MAGA had to crash out. Calls for Bondi’s resignation are happening. She doesn’t appear to have publicly responded to any news yet.

Elon has been out and chose war with his new centrist-styled & technocrat-friendly America Party before this revelation. It will likely draw away at least some MAGA & pro-Trump people pissed about the Epstein Files seemingly going poof, on top of any of that other stuff.

Now, Elon is trolling on 𝕏. This debacle is great advertising for all of the other parties.

President Trump and Republicans were already fuming after Elon accused Trump of being in the Epstein Files. Ominous warning included. He later apologized and walked it all back. Now, Elon’s comments are beginning to ring certain alarm bells.

Will this week’s development be the final straw for the MAGA coalition? Are the Republicans doomed in the midterms? How are they going to be impacted in 2028? Time will tell.

President Trump set a tight deadline for the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” The BBB squeaked by in the Senate, thanks to VP Vance’s tiebreaking vote. After immense pressure, Trump’s signature on the BBB came just in time for America’s birthday.

The BBB is a polarizing piece of legislation. Trump and the most loyal of his MAGA base see it as a historic victory. The bill was unpopular among Democrats, independents, & fiscal conservatives.

There’s a lot to the bill. In particular, people have praised its tax cuts and ICE funding. Critics called out its cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, plus the deficit increases. Elon Musk, once one of Trump’s biggest backers, expressed intense disagreement with the bill.

Musk pledged to hold Democrats and Republicans accountable. The bill’s passing angered Elon Musk to the point of no return with MAGA. On the same day of the bill’s signing, he polled 𝕏 about creating a new party for independents and centrists.

Trump tore into Elon on Truth Social, calling the plan good for “the creation of completely and total disruption & chaos.” The president called Musk a “train wreck” and claimed that Elon went “completely ‘off the rails’.”

The Republican Party’s midterm optimism has been lacking. The bill’s backlash has been quick and harsh. The long-term impact of the omnibus bill will be more meaningful, with Elon’s new party nipping at the uniparty’s heels.

Trump took to Truth Social to announce a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. According to early reports, Iran denied the ceasefire. However, both states later acknowledged it. It took effect at midnight EST.

Later on, he commanded Israel not to drop bombs after the ceasefire began.

Trump told reporters that he was upset with Iran and Israel. He stated that both nations violated the ceasefire. Iran launched missiles into Israel. Israel conducted strikes on Iran.

IAF stated that they intercepted two unmanned drones from Iran.

The Trump admin. previously boasted about America’s strikes on Iran, dubbed Operation Midnight Hammer. However, reports suggest that the US government exaggerated the success of its strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters, under the condition of anonymity. White Press Secretary Leavitt blasted CNN’s reporting on the matter.

Israel vows to attack Iran if Iran continues with their program, as per Al-Jazeera.

Despite stating that America would give Iran up to two weeks before an attack, Trump has decided to join Israel in bombing Iran. 3 nuclear sites were targeted. World War III was trending on 𝕏.

Trump told Sean Hannity that six bunker busters from bombers were used on Fordow. 30 missiles from American submarines were launched at Natanz and Estefan.

Trump sent multiple decoy bombers west out of the US. The B-2s dropping the bombs went East.

Trump will be addressing the nation at 10 PM EST regarding the attack.

Rep. Massie (R-KY) has accused Trump’s attack of being unconstitutional. AOC and other Dems are calling for Trump to be impeached for the strikes.

Major American cities are on high alert following the strikes, per Fox News. Netanyahu praised the strikes. Early reports suggest Iran has vowed consequences.

Hossein Shariatmadari, the editor-in-chief of Kayhan newspaper and an advisor to Iran’s supreme leader, Khamenei, advocated for the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil shipping route. Further, he called for missile strikes on the Navy, as per CNN.

If they do, America will attack back even harder. Trump vowed to respond to Iran.

After America recalled its diplomats from Iraq, things have escalated immensely.

Hours ago, Israel issued an ultimatum to America and Iran. If there’s no deal by Sunday, Israel would attack Iran, according to the JMIC, a US/UK naval task force.

However, Israel’s government changed its mind on the same day. Israel has attacked Iran in a preemptive strike. Iran’s capital, Tehran, was struck, and nuclear facilities were targeted. An oil refinery in Tabriz was also struck.

The attack has been reportedly dubbed “Operation Rising Lion.” The Israel-Iran conflict is expected to last at least a few days, possibly weeks.

America confirmed the deaths of top Iranian leaders in the strikes. Reuters reported that Commander Hossein Salami, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed. Iran's chief of staff, Mohammad Bagheri, was also killed. Several nuclear scientists were killed as well, according to Iran International.

Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was critically injured in Israeli attacks. The Natanz Nuclear Facility has sustained major damage.

President Trump told Fox News chief anchor Bret Baier that he knew the strikes were coming beforehand. He said that America is ready to defend itself and Israel if Iran retaliates, but hopes Iran returns to the negotiating table.

Secretary of State Rubio stated that America is not involved in the attack against Iran. Israel claims that this attack was necessary for self-defense.

Many American politicians came out in support of the state of Israel.

Iranian media went on to relay the IRGC’s promise of a severe response.

"(IRGC) is fully prepared to deliver a firm and severe response to the Zionist enemy’s aggression," the statement read. "Necessary measures to counter such criminal acts ... have long been in place."

According to the Times of Israel and other outlets, over 100 drones were launched by Iran at Israel over the last few hours. The IDF is in the process of shooting them down. Iran will not participate in nuclear negotiations with America until further notice, according to The New York Times.

According to DD Geopolitics, early news suggests that over 800 Iranian projectiles have been launched toward Israel. The retaliatory attack reportedly consists of a mixture of cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and suicide drones.

Trump may or may not join in on Israel’s attack on Iran, according to Reuters. During a White House lawn appearance, Trump offered mixed signals.

"I may do it, I may not do it, nobody knows what I'm going to do."

In response to Khamenei’s statement that Iran will not surrender, Trump said, “Good luck.”

He has approved attack plans against Iran, per Fox News.

The idea of America’s military getting involved between Israel and Iran is very unpopular, even with Republicans. This is according to an Economist/YouGov poll taken between June 13th and 16th.

Rep. Massie (R-KY) has introduced a bipartisan bill with Rep. Khanna (D-CA) to prevent Trump from going to war with Iran. The “Squad” has signed on to the Iran War Powers Resolution. The Senate has introduced its version.

After a few days of the anti-ICE protests-turned-riots in LA County, violence has spread to other major American cities.

Las Vegas, along with the Texan cities of San Antonio, Austin, & Dallas, had similar problems as well.

On Saturday the 14th, there will be a nationwide protest—“No Kings.” Over 2,000 protests are planned on that day. Though not guaranteed, there’s a decent possibility that at least some of the protests will once again turn violent.

Christy Walton, the billionaire Walmart heiress, took out a full-page ad in The New York Times to promote the event.

Elsewhere, others aimed at the Trump administration. Rep. Maxine Waters attacked President Trump. She expressed concern over his potential future use of martial law. Waters also advised vigilance, telling her audience to look out for agent provocateurs.

Foundation For Freedom Online Executive Director Mike Benz posted a portion of a 92-page declassified CIA document. The 1983 riot guide, approved for release in 2017, calls for agitators to "create a martyr for the cause" by "leading the demonstrators into a confrontation with authorities" to "provoke riots or shootings which may cause the death" of a protester. That death “should be taken advantage of immediately” against the state, to “create greater conflicts.”

The Marines will deploy onto LA’s streets within a couple of days, joining the National Guard. They’ll have the authority to detain civilians who confront the feds. For more on the first days of the chaos:

In Baghdad, US embassy staff and military family members are evacuating from Iraq, American government sources said, according to the BBC and various outlets.

"We are constantly assessing the appropriate personnel posture at all our embassies,” a US state department official told the BBC.

Last month, President Trump warned Netanyahu & Israel to stand down, so that America could have more time to engage in nuclear talks with Iran.

"I told him this would be inappropriate to do right now because we're very close to a solution," Trump said.

However, it appears that the foreign state is about to move forward with its attack on Iran.

Multiple sources told CBS News that American officials have been notified that Israel is fully ready to attack Iran. Steve Witkoff, President Trump's Middle East envoy, is still expecting to meet with Iran for another round of talks regarding its nuclear program, two U.S. officials said.

The American government is concerned that Iran could retaliate by attacking American sites in Iraq. This is why America advised some Americans to leave the region. The State Department ordered non-emergency government personnel to leave Iraq because of "heightened regional tensions."

It’s been two days of madness erupting in the streets of California. Anti-ICE protests once again turned violent as rioters destroyed property, set fires, launched fireworks, and attacked law enforcement. “Gestapo”, “Abolish ICE”, “Trump’s America,” and many other relevant topics trended on 𝕏.

Several ICE raids were conducted in downtown Los Angeles and LA’s Westlake District on Friday. In response, community organizations gathered roughly 500 people for protests before marching through the streets around a federal detention facility just east of 1st Street. The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) conducted a rally as protestors held pro-immigration signs.

The crowd reportedly swelled to over 1,000 people. It didn’t take long before things got out of control. Rioters began brawling with ICE agents.

Other rioters put up makeshift blockades, clogging the streets. Some of them pelted police with rocks and other projectiles.

Car tires were slashed, and surfaces were tagged with anti-government sentiments. Activist vandals took the opportunity to paint an inverted red triangle, a Palestinian symbol, and label Israel’s military as the “IOF (Israeli Occupation Force).”

Live heli-cam caught motorcycle-riding rioters riding circles around a burning car parked in the middle of an intersection in Paramount. One of them waved a Mexican flag as he did it.

Federal agents threw tear gas and flash bangs. Some shot rubber bullets and pepper balls at people. LAPD declared the event an unlawful assembly by 7 PM. They set up a skirmish line in downtown LA to keep people away from the federal building.

CHP & the LA Sheriff’s Department provided backup. The LA Sheriff said 2 people were arrested for assault on officers during California unrest, according to Fox News.

Los Angeles City Council Member Eunisses Hernandez (D) called for escalation against ICE. Chaiya Raichik (Libs of TikTok) and others publicly called for her arrest.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt excoriated left-wing radicals responsible for the violence. She called out the Democrats for going soft on them.

Border Czar Tom Homan told Fox News that the National Guard would be deployed. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem called out the anti-politician & anti-ICE rhetoric, urging it to end.

DHS’s statement criticized the LAPD, saying, “It took the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) 2 hours to respond.” Along with LA Mayor Bass, the agency aimed at Democrat politicians like Tim Walz and Hakeem Jeffries.

Mayor Karen Bass’s official statement was quoted by FBI Director Patel.

A few hours later, she posted another statement to explain that she was in contact with federal officials and working with law enforcement. Bass condemned the violence and destruction.

President Trump took control of the California National Guard. Trump went to UFC 316 after greenlighting the 2,000-soldier deployment in California. SecDef Pete Hegseth said, “And, if violence continues, active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton will also be mobilized — they are on high alert.”

The Trump administration’s decision and warnings angered California Governor Newsom. He lashed out against the feds on 𝕏. He accused them of sowing chaos and pushed back on Hegseth.

Newsom’s spokesperson told CBS News that Newsom spoke with Trump for about 40 minutes.

The president took to Truth Social to thank the National Guard. He also ripped into Newsom and Bass while tearing into the radical left. Trump announced that “MASKS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to be worn at protests.”

The chaos continues, as we enter day 3 of the LA ICE riots. Things have heated up. Multiple Waymo self-driving cars were set on fire, while rioters shut down a portion of the 101 Highway.

The National Guard is on the ground helping CHP, LAPD, ICE, the US Marshals, and the LA Sheriff’s Department. 500 Marines are still on standby, triggering demonstrations outside the base. Reports suggest that drones are surveilling the area.

Governor Newsom once again directly challenged the Trump administration. He sent a letter to Pete Hegseth, calling the troop deployment “unlawful.”

Moreover, in an MSNBC exclusive, Newsom called the situation a “manufactured crisis” and goaded Tom Homan into slapping cuffs on him.

“Come after me. Arrest me. Let’s just get it over with, tough guy."

California is suing the Trump administration, according to AG Bonta. They blame Trump’s decision to seize the California National Guard. Trump said that if he were Tom Homan, he’d arrest Newsom.

In 1992, President George W. Bush activated the National Guard, Army, & Marines. They stopped violent rioters from wreaking havoc on Los Angeles during the 1992 L.A. riots.

DAY 4 of the LA ICE riots. Trump has upped the stakes. He doubled the number of activated National Guardmen, from 2,000 to 4,000, according to the Pentagon. Trump increased the number of activated Marines going to LA from 500 to 700. 2/7 came down from 29 Palms, while about 1,700 National Guardmen hang out in the greater LA area.

“No Kings” was trending on 𝕏. No Kings is a nationwide coordinated event scheduled for Saturday, the 14th. Millions are expected to demonstrate. People, especially on the right, are increasingly aware of the gravity of the situation.

On day 5 of rioting, Mayor Bass placed a curfew on downtown LA from 8 to 6 because of the rioting and looting. Rioters tried to close off the 101 again, but police kicked them off the highway.

After some initial tension, President Donald Trump and Elon Musk seemed like a dream team. Musk endorsed Trump in July 2024 and donated over $250 million to his campaign. However, cracks in their alliance soon began to emerge.

It started when DOGE rolled back its promised savings. $2 trillion turned into $1 trillion and eventually became a paltry $150 billion. Democrats’ vitriol evolved into derision, putting pressure on Republicans to keep their word to their constituents.

As Elon’s time at DOGE came to a close, he started voicing his disappointment with Trump’s tariffs and the “big, beautiful bill” making its way through Congress. Further, Elon expressed his frustration with how DOGE was being treated. “DOGE is just becoming the whipping boy for everything,” Musk said.

“So, like, something bad would happen anywhere, and we would get blamed for it even if we had nothing to do with it,” the ex-DOGE head continued.

Fiscal hawks have been sounding the alarm.

The CBO expects the massive bill to add over $2 trillion over 10 years. The White House lashed out at the CBO, calling its credibility into question. “The CBO assumes long-term GDP growth of an anemic 1.8%, and that is absurd,” said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. The Tax Foundation believes that nearly $3 trillion will be added.

However, the CRFB suggests over $2 trillion over the same period, adding $3.0 trillion to the debt, including interest. If the temporary provisions are extended without offsets, the committee estimates that the bill would add $5.0 trillion to the debt, with interest. Senator Rand Paul also expects $5 trillion added.

Tensions rose when Musk doubled down on his criticisms of Congress & Trump’s omnibus bill. He tore into it, calling the bill an “abomination.” Musk also insisted that without him,

Trump even gave him a golden key for his service.

A few days later, Musk cracked, spilling his guts on 𝕏.

A couple of days later, Musk turned to trolling. He began quoting Trump’s old statements to draw attention to Trump’s 180-degree turn.

Less than a week after the in-person conference, their relationship soured. Musk claimed Trump would have lost without him.

Trump admitted his surprise and expressed his disappointment with Elon. He said he didn’t know if they’d remain on good terms.

“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. He claimed that Musk knew about the omnibus bill’s contents, didn’t push back against it, and was upset at losing an EV mandate.

Elon denied Trump’s statement. He asserted that the bill couldn’t be read in time.

That seemed to have ticked Elon off. Musk polled his audience on their interest in creating a new political party. Over 4 million people have participated, with ~80% voting “yes.”

Things soon went thermonuclear about an hour later. Musk accused Trump of being in the Epstein Files.

On Truth Social, Trump threatened to eliminate government subsidies and contracts for Musk's businesses. That’s $3 billion in government contracts, mainly for SpaceX.

Elon clapped back, just minutes later. He declared that SpaceX would begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately.

Right around the same time, Trump continued to call out Elon. He also praised the omnibus bill.

Trump did not respond to press questions about the Elon situation while he hosted a roundtable with the Fraternal Order of Police.

Prominent journalist Tim Pool once predicted that Trump and Elon would stay best buds. He owned up to the mistake during the opening minutes of his latest Timcast IRL episode, titled “MAGA CIVIL WAR.” The phrase echoed across the internet.

Ex-White House advisor & Elon adversary Steve Bannon implored Trump to nationalize SpaceX before midnight and deport Elon.

Musk replied, calling Bannon “peak retard” and a “communist retard.”

The chaotic situation cost both billionaires big time. Tesla’s stock dropped by over 14%, resulting in a loss of more than $150 billion. Trump Media fell 8%, and Trump Coin was down 12%.

Though Elon continues to doomsay over the big bill, he appears to have softened toward reconciling with Trump. Musk acknowledged Bill Ackman’s point that making peace would benefit America. It remains to be seen if the burned bridge between the men can be repaired.

22-year-old eco-activist Greta Thunberg is in troubled waters. Her aid mission on the Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s "Madleen" ship from the Sicilian port of Catania in southern Italy to Gaza faces potential Israeli interception. The activists described things in Gaza as "an unbearable humanitarian disaster."

She and 11 other activists (including some Game of Thrones cast members) are risking arrest to highlight the humanitarian crisis caused by Israel’s genocide against the Gazans. An IDF spokesman confirmed Israel’s preparedness to intercept the Palestine-flagged ship, citing security concerns.

Israel vows to “act accordingly” as Thunberg’s group inches closer. It will potentially order the boat back or escort it to Ashdod for arrests. The activists are expected to reach their destination by June 7.

They aim to break the aid blockade, give out some aid, and draw more international attention to the Gaza crisis. The group alleges that they’re being surveilled by a Greek Heron drone purchased from Israel, according to Thunberg and the Gaza Freedom Flotilla’s social media.

Thunberg stated, "We are doing this because no matter what odds we are against, we have to keep trying, because the moment we stop trying is when we lose our humanity."

Late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's financial ties to another prominent figure have been revealed.

Epstein made a $40 million investment in Peter Thiel of Palantir's Valar Ventures between 2015 and 2016, according to a confidential financial analysis of the estate reviewed by The New York Times and a statement provided by a Valar spokesman. The company specializes in providing startup capital to fintech companies.

That investment has now grown to $170 million. It’s the largest asset left in Epstein's estate.

President Trump's White House sent a 24-page $9.4 billion rescissions package proposal to Congress to codify some of DOGE's work under Elon Musk. “Rescission” requires President Donald Trump to get approval from Congress to return money that had previously been appropriated.

It includes:

• $1.1 billion in funding cuts to the CPB, which funds PBS & NPR

• $8.3 billion reduction for foreign aid & USAID

This is the first test of Republicans’ willingness to back the Trump administration’s gutting of federal agencies. The proposal was sent on the same day that Elon trashed Trump and Congress’s “big, beautiful bill.” Read below for more.

The growing costs of Social Security, Medicare, and other programs are driving America deep into debt. The rescissions will probably not make a meaningful dent in the national debt. The White House request starts a 45-day clock for Congress to either approve or deny Trump’s proposal.

Pam Bondi reached out to Patel via letter, blamed the FBI's Field Office in New York, and demanded all the files by 8 AM the next day.

FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino were once skeptical of the details of Epstein's death.

Now they’ve done a 180-degree move, assuring the American people that Epstein killed himself.

Further, they claim that there’s a video that proves Epstein was alone before he died, confirming that he did kill himself.

Maria Farmer, an artist and alleged Epstein victim, filed a lawsuit against the federal government. She accused the FBI of negligence, pointing to an agent who didn’t take her seriously and never followed up with her. She is one of many alleged victims of Epstein who are now seeking justice against the agency.

A similar suit has 28 plaintiffs accusing the FBI of “gross negligence and reckless indifference” to Epstein and his associates’ sex abuse and trafficking. Epstein’s sex trafficking would not have persisted for decades had the FBI done its due diligence.

People have been aware of the FBI’s corruption for years. If a rogue field office can throw a massive monkey wrench into the gears of one of the biggest stories in modern history, then there’s no doubt that there’s a need for systemic reform.

The fascination over Epstein’s death and connections has not subsided. The shell game and drip feed with seemingly little to show for it after months of waiting may have made things worse. It would explain the anger and hostility that everyday Americans across this country have for these people and institutions.

Boulder, Colorado — A shirtless man was arrested on Sunday after throwing a Molotov cocktail at a pro-Israel walk and using a makeshift flamethrower, while allegedly yelling “Free Palestine.” The group, "Run for Their Lives", gathered once a week to raise awareness for Israeli hostages in Gaza, according to law enforcement officials.

His attack left 8 people injured. The victims are four men and four women, ranging in age from their early 50s to late 80s. At least two of them required a helicopter evacuation to a burn unit in Denver.

Mohamed Sabry Soliman, a 45-year-old illegal immigrant, is expected to be investigated for committing an act of terror. Fox News learned from three Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement sources that Soliman is an Egyptian national whose tourist visa was granted during the Biden administration and expired in March 2025.

Soliman arrived in America after landing at LA International Airport in 2022. He filed a claim with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services a couple of months later and was granted work authorization the following year. Soliman was booked into the Boulder County Jail.

A terror attack was committed in Boulder, Colorado by an illegal alien. He was granted a tourist visa by the Biden Administration and then he illegally overstayed that visa. In response, the Biden Administration gave him a work permit.

Jamie Dimon warned that the bond market is in bad shape after the government and Federal Reserve “massively overdid” spending and quantitative easing.

“You are going to see a crack in the bond market, OK? It is going to happen,” Dimon said at the Reagan National Economic Forum.

He doesn’t know when, but it’s coming.

“I just don’t know if it’s going to be a crisis in six months or six years, and I’m hoping that we change both the trajectory of the debt and the ability of market makers to make markets,” said Dimon.

President Trump signed an executive order last March authorizing the federal government to share data across agencies.

People started asking questions about whether he might compile a master list of personal info on Americans. Trump (allegedly) wants Palantir to create that master data list.

Palantir is a publicly traded big data analytics company. It was founded by Peter Thiel, Stephen Cohen, Joe Lonsdale, and Alex Karp in 2003. The company is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

Palantir is closely tied to the deep state. They’re cool with spooks and the United States DoD.

Palantir has garnered over $113 million in federal contracts since Trump returned to the White House. Public records show extra money from existing contracts. New contracts with the DHS and the Pentagon, too.

That’s on top of a nearly $800 million DoD contract awarded to Palantir last week. According to several government officials and Palantir employees, there are ongoing talks to send the tech to the SSA and IRS.

The Trump administration wants extensive access to sensitive citizen data. We’re talking about bank account numbers, student debt amounts, medical claims, and disability status, yanked from government databases.

At least three DOGE agents worked at Palantir. Two others had worked at companies funded by Peter Thiel. He is a key financier of the Dark Enlightenment and it’s Praxis.

Ex-Palantir strategist Brianna Katherine Martin departed the company because of its extra work with ICE, according to her LinkedIn.

“Today was my last day at Palantir. After much consideration, I decided to resign in light of the expansion of work with ICE under this administration.”

“For most of my time here, I found the way that Palantir grappled with the weight of our capabilities to be refreshing, transparent, and conscionable,” she wrote.

“This has changed for me over the past few months. For me, this is a red line I won’t redraw.”

CEO Alex Karp is an ambitious fan of techno-militarism. “This is the software century, and we intend to take the entire market,” he wrote to investors on the eve of Trump’s reelection.

Palantir has done work for the Israelis, helping them in their genocide against Gaza. This cost the company a contract with Storebrand Asset Management last October.

Palantir sponsored a shindig in Simi Valley. It was filled with Silicon Valley defense tech exec bros selling drones and software.

Foundry, a key Palantir product, made it into at least four federal agencies, including the DHS and the Health and Human Services Department.

This is hot on the heels of the court allowing the administration to revoke temporary legal status from about 350,000 Venezuelan migrants in a different case earlier this month.

This new decision clears an Obama-appointed district judge’s hurdle. Massachusetts-based U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani’s decision is now on hold while the legal battle continues.

Then-Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas granted two-year parole to people during the surge at the America-Mexico border. The CHNV parole programs let people enter and stay in America. They needed to pass a security check and have a sponsor in the United States who could house them. Now they have to go back.

The Supreme Court granted DHS Secretary Kristi Noem's emergency application that ends the Biden program. Trump can immediately begin deporting 400k immigrants. Liberal Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor dissented, according to the brief order.

The news shocked and devastated left-wing immigration activists.

The Supreme Court has effectively greenlit deportation orders for an estimated half a million people, the largest such de-legalization in the modern era. Today’s decision beats the record they set just two weeks ago when they allowed the termination of TPS for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans living in the U.S.

President Donald Trump and his allies celebrated the ruling during his event with Elon.

“We had a great decision from the Supreme Court, thank goodness,” Trump said. “That was very important.”

Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said that the Supreme Court’s decision was a "victory for the American people" that corrected an error made by the Biden administration to allow "poorly vetted aliens" into the country.

President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” making its way through Congress is a flop with the ex-DOGEfather, Elon Musk. He told “CBS Sunday Morning" correspondent David Pogue that he’s disappointed with it.

Musk: So you know, I was like disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the Doge team is doing.

Pogue: I actually thought that when this big beautiful bill came along, I mean, like everything he's done on DOGE gets wiped out in the first year.”

Musk: “I think a bill can be can be can be big or it can be beautiful, but I don't know if it could be both, my personal opinion.”

President Trump responded to a question about Elon’s upcoming CBS interview. Though he didn’t attack Elon, Trump defended the bill, Speaker Mike Johnson, and Leader John Thune.

In a separate interview with The Washington Post, Elon lamented how DOGE was being unfairly treated.

“DOGE is just becoming the whipping boy for everything,” Musk said.

On Friday, President Donald Trump hosted a press event to celebrate Elon Musk, as his DOGE days are done. Musk, donned in his “DOGEfather” shirt, will focus more time on his companies, but will remain an informal advisor to Trump.

Last week, Musk bashed government profligacy on 𝕏. However, Elon had a profligacy problem of his own.

Last month, the Cato Institute, a moderate libertarian think tank, pointed out DOGE’s disappointing deeds. DOGE “fell far short of its goals,” they said.

Musk promised to cut federal spending by $2 trillion. That promise became $1 trillion, then dropped further to $250 billion. Today, Elon insists he still thinks DOGE can achieve savings of at least a trillion dollars over time.

As of today, the DOGE website reports $175 billion in savings. Other watchdogs have suggested otherwise. Musk Watch’s DOGE Tracker suggests verifiable cancelled funding FAR below (think less than $25 billion) what DOGE has said.

In his Washington Post interview, Elon revealed his mistakes. “The federal bureaucracy situation is much worse than I realized,” Musk said.

“I thought there were problems, but it sure is an uphill battle trying to improve things in D.C., to say the least,” he continued.

“It’s the banal evil of bureaucracy,” Musk said about the government’s spending problem.

UPDATE - 6/3/2025

Today, Elon Musk tore into the omnibus bill and Congress throughout the day. He caught the attention of many important people.

Rep. Massie (R-KY) and former Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) chimed in to agree, and Musk replied to both. Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Rand Paul (R-KY) agreed as well. Musk engaged with them as well.

Some people don’t share Elon’s assessment. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) & Office of Management & Budget Director Russ Vought spoke up in disagreement.

We think the bill is a very good one. We think it's very strong fiscally.

Nothing’s changed from our view of the world. We understand where he’s coming from, but if you have an accurate baseline that treats taxes the same way it treats spending, this budget is $1.6 trillion in mandatory savings.

It's the most historic amount of mandatory reforms that this town has ever seen, and certainly we haven’t seen anything like it since the mid 1990s with welfare reform. And it’s a 1.4 trillion improvement to deficits and debt.

I don't think there's any way you could possibly suggest this is not a fiscally responsible bill.
